One of the most prevalent misconceptions I have encountered as a yoga instructor since 2017 is the belief that yoga is only for those who possess flexibility. However, as we embark on a dedicated practice, we discover that flexibility, strength, and endurance blossom as natural extensions of our commitment to ourselves.

I began teaching not from a place of mastery, but from a deep love for this sacred practice. Over time, the devotion I nurtured yielded profound growth and fulfillment in my life, leading to an organic progression of my physical practice. Asana is just a small piece of a much bigger journey in embodied practice—it’s one of the eight limbs of yoga. The yamas and niyamas come before the asanas, emphasizing how we treat ourselves and others, frequently overlooked steps as many hurry to master their asanas. This serves as a reminder to not become overly concerned with our external appearance. Instead, let's concentrate on the true purpose of asana: being present in our bodies.

The blessings of this practice extend far beyond the physical realm; they touch the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of our existence, often revealing insights and healing that we may not have anticipated. As an instructor, my purpose is to illuminate the truth that yoga is for every-body, a divine dance that welcomes all souls to partake in its grace and wisdom.
